Once upon a time, there was a girl who trusted herself and her life so much so that she didn’t waste it trying to obsessively control every aspect of it. She trusted that what was meant to happen would happen and, as a result, she let it happen. Many times she ended up in unexpected places, sometimes better than what she had expected and other times simply different. But one thing was for sure. Wherever she was heading and whatever path she took, she made a vow to herself to enjoy every step of the journey. This is what The Gentle Steer is about.
It’s about setting a steer on your life that fills it with calm and contentment. It’s about reminding yourself who you are and what matters most to you. It’s about finding a balance between pushing for things and letting things pull you. Finally, it’s about doing all that gently.
It’s not about overwhelming yourself with crystal clear goals and ambitious, fast-paced plans to reach them. No, you get more than enough of that at work. Equally, it’s not about looking at yourself and your life whilst pinpointing everything that you think is wrong with them. No, the media does a good enough job with that, shouting at you constantly to do this, buy this, or change in this way to be better or have a better life. No, those are all unnecessary drivers of stress and misery.
Why? Because you don’t need to change if you don’t want to. You don’t need to improve yourself because you’re more than enough exactly the way you are. Your life, as it is, is enough too.
However, if you want to add more calm and contentment into your life, steering it gently does help. If you want to approach your days with more clarity and confidence, reminding yourself of what matters also helps.
Perhaps it’s the start of a new phase in your life and you want to make sure you start it right. Or perhaps it’s the start of a new year and you want to make it a more meaningful one. Or maybe you’re just looking for some gentle guidance on how to make the next steps in your path fulfilling and fun. Wherever you’re at and however you’re feeling, guiding yourself gently will help you make the most out of your next steps forward.
This course is for you if you want to:
