5 Tips for Beating the January Blues

January isn’t an easy time for us in the Northern hemisphere. We start to feel fed up with the darkness, the winter chills creep into our bones, and the next holiday seems lightyears away. But – that doesn’t mean we should give up. That doesn’t mean we should let the January blues get to us.

That’s why I’m making a conscious effort to practice my happiness tips more than ever. I refuse to let the blues get to me and I’m determined to keep my January joy. To help you to do the same, I’m sharing five tips from my latest book Happiness is Here below.

Tip 1 for Beating the January Blues:

Now that we’ve got you moving – both throughout your day and through specific exercising sessions daily – it’s time for tip number two.

Tip 2 for Beating the January Blues:

Remember, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. That means that you are able to notice the beauty anywhere you choose to. Be bold here. Look for the beauty not only where you usually see it but also where you don’t usually look. It might open your eyes to a whole new world of beautifulness.

Tip 3 for Beating the January Blues:

I can not stress the importance of this tip enough. If you want to help others, you have to start by helping yourself. If you want to take care of others, you have to start by taking care of you first. Never see self-care as selfish. It’s something that is essential for your health, happiness, and general well-being.

Tip 4 for Beating the January Blues:

Now go and celebrate your loved ones. I promise you won’t regret it.

Tip 5 for Beating the January Blues:

Enjoy this moment that you are giving yourself to digest the week that has just passed. It will enable you to feel proud of the things you’ve done, to say thank you for the challenges you’ve faced, and to appreciate the beautiful moments that you’ve experienced.
